Maia and the Squires is a Berlin band formed in 2024, fronted by Argentinian singer-songwriter Maia Luker. With Phan Anh on guitar and Merlin Ricco Laudien, the band mixes sharp, gritty guitar riffs with dreamy, atmospheric sounds, creating a something both raw and immersive. Maia's powerful, ethereal vocals add depth and emotion, tying it all together.
In 2023, Maia released their first EP, Spider Trap, which combines indie rock with cinematic textures. Since then, the band has been writing, experimenting and refining their sound, pushing their creative boundaries with each new song.
Currently, Maia and the Squires are focused on recording new music, while planning a series of live performances throughout the year. Their shows are a fusion of energy, authenticity and musical storytelling, offering audiences an intimate yet powerful experience.
